Call for Contributions

Für die Weiterentwicklung des Living Handbooks suchen wir sowohl Fachbeiträge als auch populäre Formate, die das Wissenschaftssystem und die Wissenschaftskommunikation aus Sicht der Forschung ebenso wie aus Sicht der Praxis beleuchten.

Jeder Fachbeitrag in englischer Sprache widmet sich einem Thema auf etwa 5 Seiten und wird von uns redaktionell begleitet:

• Double-Blind Peer-Review-Verfahren
• englisches Lektorat
• zitierfähige Publikation: DOI und Open-Access-Veröffentlichung
• kostenfreie Einreichung und keine feste Abgabefrist

Sie haben eine Idee für oder einen Hinweis auf einen populären Beitrag? Hier freuen wir uns über

• Inhalte, die eine neue Perspektive eröffnen und ein breites Publikum ansprechen
• eine große Vielfalt an Formaten – wie Essays, Fotos, Videos oder Podcastepisoden

Call for Contributions

To continue developing the Living Handbook we are looking for research articles and popular formats that throw light on the science system and science communication from the standpoint of both research and practice. Each research article should deal with a certain topic, be approximately five pages in length and written in English. The research articles—in the style of a citable handbook contribution—provide an overview of the current state of research on the respective keyword. They also open up new perspectives on the topic, marking open questions and ambivalences, and building bridges between theory and practice.

We will provide editorial support:

• double-blind peer review
• English editing/proofreading
• citable publication: DOI and open-access publication
• no submission charge or submission deadline

Every section includes space for curated popular items: essays, videos, podcasts, image galleries, and social media content allow us to approach the respective topic in an entertaining, analytical, and surprising fashion. If you have an idea for a popular science item or know of one, we should be pleased to receive:

• content that opens up new perspectives and addresses a wide audience
• a wide variety of formats—such as essays, photos, videos or podcast episodes
